The project will consist of the following:

The project will be completed on a 12 month programme and is due for completion in November 2018

Phase 3 has a completion date of May 2018

• Demolition & reconfiguration of existing ground floor School of Law teaching area
• Demolition and alteration works to existing layouts

• Alteration works to internal door openings and installation of new internal doors including blocking up of existing openings as required
• Upgrade of Existing Mechanical and Electrical Services

The project is due for completion in December 2017

This project involves the refurbishment of the existing store and the construction of a new warehouse and staff area in the basement level under the store. The scope of works includes the following;

New Basement Level;
1. New warehouse.
2. New stairs from basement level to store level.
3. New good lift from basement level to store level.
4. New staff room and kitchen.
5. New training room.
6. New welfare facilities.

Existing Store;
1. New openings to facilitate the new goods lift and access stairs
2. Extending of the existing bakery freezer and preparation area.
3. Extending of the existing cash office.
4. Extending of the existing public welfare facilities.
5. Reduction of the existing warehouse at ground floor level
6. Extension of the entrance area.
7. Modifications and upgrading of the entrance off the public street.

The project is due to be completed in October 2017

The works will involve the demolition of the existing Tote building (450 sqm) and replace it with a new two storey steel-frame building featuring a large central hall space on each floor, Tote windows to 3 elevations at Ground Floor level, and a large partially covered balcony at first floor level. The roof will have a saw-tooth profile, and there will be plant room at roof level. Total building area (including plant space) is 1,749 sqm.

The building is required to be delivered within a tight timeframe (between the 2017 Galway Races summer festival and the 2018 summer festival) and certainty of delivery is critical.

The projects that were completed are as follows:

Plassey Student Village Refurbishment Phase 1:
This project involved the Internal Strip Out & Refurbishment of 27 units within Blocks A, D & F. These works had an overall Phase 1 Value of €1,125,000

Phase 2 will consist of the refurbishment of 35 units within Blocks B, C & E and will commence on the 21st May 2018 and will be completed on the 10th August 2018.

Thomond Student Village Refurbishment Phase 1:
This Project involved the Internal Strip Out & Refurbishment of 52 units within Blocks B (Robin) and Block C (Swan, Moorhen, Wren and Warble). These works had an overall Phase 1 Value of €635,000

Phase 2 will consist of the refurbishment of 54 units within Blocks A (Mallard, Dunnock, Wagtail, Kingfisher and Heron) and Block B (Blackbird and Bullfinch). This work will be carried out during the Summer of 2018.

Kilmurry Student Village Refurbishment Phase 2:
Having already successfully refurbished 43 units in Phase 1. Phase 2 consisted of the refurbishment of 40 units within Blocks A, B, C, D and H as well as the Faculty Apartments. The works for Phase 2 had an overall value of €2,950,000
