Monami Construction have been appointed as main contractors for 3 University of Limerick Projects starting in the coming weeks.
The projects that are commencing are as follows:
Plassey Student Village Refurbishment Phase 1 & 2:
This project will involve the Internal Strip Out & Refurbishment of 44 No. 8 bedroom houses and 18 No. four (4) bedroom houses. Phase 1 will consist of the refurbishment of 27 units within Blocks A, D & F and is due to commence on the 22nd May 2017 with a completion date of 11th August 2017. Phase 2 will consist of the refurbishment of 35 units within Blocks B, C & E and will commence on the 21st May 2018 and will be completed on the 10th August 2018.
Thomond Student Village Refurbishment Phase 1 & 2:
This Project will involve the Internal Strip Out & Refurbishment of 44 No. 8 bedroom houses and 18 No. four (4) bedroom houses. Phase 1 will consist of the refurbishment of 52 units within Blocks B (Robin) and Block C (Swan, Moorhen, Wren and Warble) and is due to commence on the 22nd May 2017 with a completion date of 11th August 2017. Phase 2 will consist of the refurbishment of 54 units within Blocks A (Mallard, Dunnock, Wagtail, Kingfisher and Heron)
and Block B (Blackbird and Bullfinch). This work will be carried out during the Summer of 2018.
As well as the 2 projects above, Monami are due to commence Phase 2 of the Kilmurry Student Village Refurbishment having successfully completed Phase 1 in the Summer of 2016.
Kilmurry Student Village Refurbishment Phase 2:
Having already successfully refurbished 43 units in Phase 1. Phase 2 will consist of the refurbishment of 40 units within Blocks A, B, C, D and H as well as the Faculty Apartments. This work will be carried out during the Summer of 2017, commencing on 29th May and finishing on 18th August 2017.
