The students enjoyed an engaging day of learning and collaboration on this live construction site located in the heart of Galway City.
After a detailed presentation and overview of the Queen Street development, the students then accompanied Monami Construction site staff on a walk-through of the project. This provided a closer look at the progress made to date and the challenges associated with developing a large-scale, modern student living space in a confined area.
The team enthusiastically shared their expertise, guiding the students through the various stages of the project from its early phases to the present day. Valuable insights were shared around construction and programme challenges, project management, modern construction methods, and innovations within the industry.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who participated, particularly the ATU Galway Engineering students and lecturers who made the day possible.
The enthusiasm and active engagement demonstrated throughout the day made it an informative experience, hopefully inspiring the next generation of construction leaders!
