Monami Construction have successfully completed the Greenstar Waste Management Facility. The Greenstar Project involved re-building and remedial works to the severely fire damaged waste management facility (MRF Building) in Sarsfield Court Industrial Estate, Glanmire, Co. Cork. The scope of works consisted of
- Removal of existing fire damaged steelwork and supply and installation of new Structural Steelwork
- Shot Blasting, Priming, Fire-painting to Structural Steel Portal Frame
- Removal of existing secondary steelwork, supply and installation of new to steel portal frame
- New wall and roof cladding installations including cladding rails, purlins, sheeting, flashings, trims, gutters and downpipes
- Remedial works to existing reinforced concrete walls
- Installation of new mechanical and electrical installations
- Installation of new Fast Action roller doors, entry doors and aluminum windows
- Co-ordination and management of the installation of new Odour Abatement System
- Supply and Installation of Modular ‘Tipping Walls’
The project was successfully completed on time within a challenging 18 week programme with the new facility officially opened by Minister Simon Coveney on the 24th November 2014.
