Monami Construction appointed as Main Contractors for the External works upgrade to the Schrodinger Building University of Limerick

Monami Construction have been appointed as Main Contractors for the External works upgrade to the Schrodinger Building in the University of Limerick. Work has commenced on the Schrodinger Building site and the main work consists of the following:

  • Construction of new lobby entrance at the main entrance
  • Removal of existing single glazed windows and replace with double glazed between ground and second floors and workshop areas
  • Plastering works throughout
  • Installation of new insulated copper cladding on all elevations across all floors and to existing concrete facades to the workshop areas
  • Removal of existing single glazed roof glazing and replace with double glazed roof glazing
  • Upgrade of existing roof with new rigid insulation and built up roofing felt
  • New block work and structural steel at roof level over the stair core

The project has an approximate value of €1.4 million with a programme of 4 months and is due for completion at the start of September 2015
