Contracts have been signed by the Technological  University of the Shannon (TUS)  for the completion of its Coonagh Engineering Campus on the outskirts of Limerick City by Monami Construction.

This project consists of the fit out of the building to include precision engineering and electrical engineering workshops and laboratories, an integrated HGV & LGV garage facility, lecture theatres, tutorial rooms, IT labs, catering facilities, student services centre and general accommodation facilities and amenities.

The Coonagh Campus will create a centre of excellence for manufacturing and other engineering activities in the region. The €24 million facility will allow for the expansion of technical workshop spaces, teaching spaces and social learning spaces and is expected to open in January 2024.
