The Mentor Graphics project comprised of the fit out & refurbishment of an existing 20,000 sq/ft office building at East Park, Shannon Free Zone, Drumline, Smithstown, Co. Clare.
Monami Construction Ltd carried out the role of main contractor and Project Supervisor Construction Stage for this fast track project.
The project scope included for works both externally and internally in a live building enviroment.
In order for the facility to remain operational throughtout the refurbishment the project was carried out over four phases, which required existing electrical, mechanical and ICT to remain operational.
External works included the demolition of the existing front entrance foyer and high level external walls, the construction of a new steel framed front entrance area incorporating new curtain walling, stone cladding with new external drainage, paved areas and soft landscaping.
Internally a full fit out of the existing two stoery building was carried out including alterations/demolitions to the existing office layouts, new stud partitions, new floor finishes, suspended ceilings, joinery and post form installations and all new decoration throughout.
The construction works also included for new mechanical & electrical installations within a live office enviroment with the existing server rooms remaining functional throughout the construction works.
To successfully achieve the uninterrupted operations of the building during the construction works, regular meetings were held between our Site Management Team and Mentor Graphics’ Facilities staff.
All works were completed to the time frames stipulated by the client to ensure each phase was handed over (Snag Free) to allow re-occupation of various compartments.
This project was successfully completed on budget, within a constrained programme and to a high standard of finish.
